I had been looking forward to the Spring Training game. I love sports! Hockey, football, futbol, baseball and basketball are my favorite. I may not always know the players on the team or it may not be a team that I'm familiar with but love the game ~ a sports fan. We went to see the San Francisco Giants play the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Finding parking can be a bit tricky and most of Old Town has a max of 3 hrs for parking. Fortunately for us that was not going to be an issue since we were going to the game. It was a beautiful day for the game and to be outside.
When we walked in through the wrought iron gate the hostess asked if we would like to sit inside or on the patio upstairs. (duh patio!) We smiled, giggled and replied "Patio please."
We had a view of Old Town.
Neither of us having been to The Grapevine before, wanted to scan over the menu to see what we wanted. It's a bit difficult to nail down what type of restaurant they are since they have such a huge variety on the menu. I mean food ranging from American, Mediterranean, Mexican and Italian. So there is a little bit of something for everyone.
But we had made the most important decision.... what we wanted to drink.
Paige had their margarita and I had their southern desert cooler. (sweet tea vodka with lemonade)
There's about 15 tables on the patio and the patio bar seats about 12 and they have 4 tables in the bar area. Perfect to watch sports!
Paige and I looked over the menu. Choices, choices....too many choices. We knew we didn't want anything too heavy in case we wanted to snack at the game and we were going to dinner after the game.
Paige really wanted to try the Lahvosh. I had heard that they are really well known for their Lahvosh. So we placed our order for their Original Lahvosh with everything ~ Armenian cracker bread with melted Dofino cheese, topped with ham, pepperoni, tomatoes, green peppers, onions, mushroom and black olives. (though my half minus black olives and hers minus mushrooms)

When the Lahvosh arrived I was a little in shock. OMG!! IT WAS HUGE!!
Our server laughed and told us not to let the size intimidate us. She said since the crust is not like the typical pizza dough/crust that it would not be too filling.
Ok...it takes me at least 3 days to finish a medium pepperoni pizza by myself!!! How the heck are we going to finish this!?

Somehow...... not sure how....we managed to finish it.
Our server was impressed that we managed to finish. She asked if we wanted dessert. Typically Paige and I share a dessert but since we were headed to the game, we turned the offer down.

Before we left, I wandered around downstairs and looked inside. They have more tables and a bar inside, a dj station and a dance floor.
And they have a covered patio that has about
15 tables.
The vibe at The Grapevine was a good one. It was a beautiful day, spring training game day in the air and good eats.

I'd like to go back in the evening and check out their karaoke scene they have.
Now on to the ballgame and then to figure out where we want to go for dinner!!

WOOOHOOO!!!! Play ball!!
And remember
